Heineken 35mm Underwater Camera

9

What's better than 10 cans of Heineken beer? A free underwater camera that came with that 10 cans of beer! I got this free gift when I was stocking up for my Xmas party. This is really a good value buy as I see some online stores selling the same camera for around US$20!

As this is a free gift, one can’t ask for too much. It is a simple point and shoot 35mm film camera with a fixed focal length (28mm), fixed aperture (f9), and fixed shutter speed (1/100). Operation is simple, just wind the shutter and shoot. Of course, there is no MX. The underwater casing looks sturdy, with rubber sealing, double locking clasps, and is waterproof up to 10 feet.

Since this is touted to be an underwater cam, I loaded one roll of Lomography ISO400 film and try to take as many underwater photos as possible. After developing and scanning the first roll, I must admit that I am quite pleased with the results.

This is a fun cam to bring to the beach or holiday whereby you don’t have to worry about it being damaged due to its tough casing. If your neighborhood store is giving this FOC with some purchases, just grab it. You won’t regret it. I know I didn’t! Cheers!

These same cameras, without the Heineken graphics, sell on ebay for about $11. If you are interested go to ebay and search for "WATERPROOF UNERWATER LOMO 35mm FILM CAMERA". I just got mine in the mail.... but it is winter here, so I don't know when I'll get to really try this out.

Yeah I ordered mine at ebay as well! I want to take it to Sri Lanka (I will be there in a few months) so thanks for the review! I want to be sure it's 'ok'.
