For this competition, we sought for the best looking photos related to the theme "lightness," from images of something that's light as a feather to pictures that conjure up ideas of dreams and wisps of clouds. The jury has made its decision, and we are proud to present the winners.
Jonathan Weimar, better known as johnny-weimar in the community, professes his passion for photography with the help of quite a few analog cameras. He has made quite a reputation and is best remembered by the Lomography Turkey crew as the guy who gave 50-something films to develop and scan. His photography and videography take us deep into the never-ending nights of Harlem, a place where the darkness might seem to reach its peak. Yet, he is capturing light in its purest form, reminding us that it lies in everyone’s eyes, within everyone’s self.
The double exposure technique is a creative and extraordinary way of adding an unconventional twist to your images. Not surprisingly, the most extraordinary double exposure images were sent as entries to this competition. The grand winner gets to bring home the photo book "Double Exposures" by Nickolas Muray.
