The Lomography Gallery Store LA reunited with one of it's true loves... the Lubitel 166+ !!!! and what a sweet reunion it was. Come see how Angelenos battled the cloudy weather snuggling up to this fully manual camera!
It is always a labor of love when the Lubitel 166 + is involved and this time it was no different. The Lomography Gallery Store LA gave everyone an opportunity to fall in love with this all manual beauty. Since this twin-lens Lothario swings both ways, 35 mm and 120 that is, attendees where given the option of what film they wanted to use. In spite of the over cast and gloomy day, the Lubitel 166+ rose to the occasion. Making us fall in love with it even more, if that is even possible!

About two years ago or so, I purchased the Lomography Redscale XR 50-200. I saved just one roll of this film and waited for the right moment to shoot with it. In April this year, I just wasn't able to take it anymore! I loaded this film into my Lubitel 166+, which I realized I hadn't used for maybe about six months. One idea came to mind: taking crazy multiple exposures!
December is here and with it comes lots of festive cheer and some exciting events and workshops at the Lomography Gallery Store Soho. Read on to find out more and to book your spot this Christmas Season.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
It is always a pleasant experience collaborating with our old friends and LomoAmigos. This time, Emily Soto shot another wonderful series with her Petzval Art Lens. We can't wait to share it with everyone, so here they are!
Lomographers love reflections. Peruse the website and you are bound to find water puddles mirroring trees and glass windows duplicating people's motions. What beautiful sights to record indeed! But how else can we approach this doppelgänger effect? Seven ace photographers give us wonderful ideas.
The Rolling Stones in circus masks, a bare-faced David Bowie and Johnny Rotten in a bulldog clipped-jacket. Such details Anton Corbijn has ingrained in rock history. These images plus 300 more of Arcade Fire, Nirvana, Siouxsie Sioux, REM, U2, Nick Cave and Depeche Mode have a collective premiere at Fotomuseum Den Haag.
