Madrid: Lomo On!

3

My Holga camera has just turned six months old! So what better gift than an article on Madrid with photos from my Holga (although some of my other cameras also contributed to this post) to boot. Come, and take a look! :)

Welcome to Madrid! A city where you can find a multitude of cultures, ways of life, incredible buildings, parks, and wonderful views! For many, it is the perfect city to live in while for others, a charming city to go on a holiday, and for a few others, ugly – a city wherein you’d end up feeling more stressed than normal.

The business area of Madrid starts at Plaza Castilla (photo 1) then to the Plaza de Cibeles (photo 5) before making your way down to the Paseo de la Castellana (photos 2, 3 and 4). In this journey you can find a multitude of buildings where you can get some really good photos thanks to the glare and reflections!

Stepping into the heart of Madrid, you can enjoy places like (1) Sun, Gran Via, where you can find the Circulo de Bellas Artes where there is a roof that has incredible views of Madrid (2, 3 and 4), Temple Debod (5 and 6), the Palacio Real (7), the Retiro Park (8 and 9) and Madrid’s legendary flea market. This market is open during Sundays and you can find it by walking through several small streets of a bar called La Latina “Granada House” located on the 6th floor of a building where we can see part of Madrid and the trace (10 and 11 )!

Visit Madrid and have a great time!

Fresh from the Lab: Silvia Precisa

Recently, I used my trusty Fuji Silvi. It may not be my all-time favorite camera, but I just wanted to use it because I kind of missed shooting with it. So I decided to look through my film stash to see what I could use with the Fuji Silvi. After much consideration, I ended up picking the old Agfa CT Precisa ISO 100 to get that classic blue tone.
