3

Aimee is a do-er. She can snowboard better than you wish you could, she knows how to surf, ride a quad bike and has even won motorcross competitions. Luckily for us she´s also a lomography fan and had an awesome time with the Fisheye No. 2. Check out images of Aimee´s professional and personal life after the jump and learn more about the girl wonder.

REAL NAME: AIMEE FULLER
CITY: BELFAST
COUNTRY: NORTHERN IRELAND

Tell the community a little bit about yourself? What do you do for fun and is it the same thing you do for a living?
I am 19 years old and I am a Professional snowboarder from England, Belfast is my base at the moment but the majority of the year I travel around the world to the Northern and Southern Hemisphere winters to compete and train for my profession. Snowboarding is what I do for fun it’s a lifestyle and a job. Aside from snowboarding I spend time with friends and family. I love to be active, I also really enjoy many other sports, rollerblading, skating, wake boarding, rock climbing and this summer I spent some time surfing with Candice O'Donnell she rips! It was cool to do something different and I met some awesome people doing it. Photography is another interest of mine. If I have not got my lomo camera in my hand I have my slr or GoPro as I love filming too.

How long have you been a Lomographer (or are you new to this whole thing)?
Pretty new to the whole thing, I got my cam at the start of the summer and I have had so much fun using it, there is so much cool stuff you can do you just need to be adventurous and experiment!

Describe the Fisheye in five words
Fun, fishy, cool, quirky, stylish

How did you like shooting with the Fisheye and what did your friends think about your analogue camera?
I loved shooting with the Fish eye it’s different than using a normal analogue or digital camera, it was so much fun and it gives the photo’s a real feeling of presence. At first my friends were shocked it was film, after they saw the shots they all loved it and so many of my friends are now using them too.

What´s the strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/ Lomographic encounter that you have ever had?
Too many to choose from, but the funniest was probably when the camera back opened the film ended up exposed, need I say anymore…

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your Fisheye, who would it be and why?
Hands down. Michael Jackson. Dancer and Legend

If you could travel anywhere in the world with your fisheye and your gear, where would that be?
To the top of a mountain with bottomless powder that’s the dream right there, Alaska?!!

What’s your favorite photo you took with the Fisheye and why?
This picture in London, it portrays the movement of city, the concrete jungle, the high speed life.

If your photos, shown here, could have a soundtrack of three songs, what would they be (song title & artist please).
Mike Ponsner – Cooler than Me.
Tinie Tempah – Frisky Feat Labrinth.
Robyn – Dancing on my own.

What got you into photography at the first place?
Friends and sport, with the sport I am involved in there is alot of focus around photography and capturing that perfect shot. However I have always been into it from a young age I had an film camera from boots from the age of 4 and I took that everywhere with me. I really enjoy experimenting with long exposures on my SLR when I am not the road. If I am not using my SLR then I have my Lomo with me to document my travels.

What’s coming up on the horizon? What’s in the works and what’s on your mind?
Travelling and snowboarding, progressing and enjoying the sport as much as I can.

Your advice to future Fisheye shooters
Take your camera everywhere and anywhere, be adventurous, don’t follow the rules, you decide the boundaries and snap at whatever catches your eye, enjoy and have fun!

Portraits, Lights, Instant Photos, and Weird Faces

In New York City, winter has been harsh and long, the nights long and cold, and shooting outside is not fun anymore. So when the Lomo'Instant Boston Edition hit the shelves this week and the new Splitzer arrived at the Lomography Gallery Store New York, we decided to do a round of light painting portraits instead of sunny ones.
