Brighton Town

I live in Brighton and I have lived here for just under 1 year. I moved from London to live in Brighton because I wanted to live in a house close to the sea. Brighton is an amazing little City on the South Coast of England. In fact, they call it London by the sea. I love Brighton because it has so much to offer. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. There is also the added attraction of being on the coast. Generally, coastal areas in the UK tend to be a bit dated and scummy but not Brighton. The beach at Brighton changes every different day you visit. In the winter the waves crash against the coast and in the summer it is like a still swimming pool.

There are two piers in Brighton. There is the West Pier (http://www.westpier.co.uk/) which was burnt down and is now a listed location meaning that it can’t be demolished. The other pier is a paradise of arcade machines and fairground rides (http://www.brightonpier.co.uk/). They do great doughnuts and fish and chips on the pier and the views are fantastic. My favourite restaurant in Brighton is a sushi restaurant called Moshi Moshi (www.moshimoshi.co.uk). It has won several awards for great food.

A great place to visit is the Royal Pavillion which is a historical building in the centre of Brighton. You should definitely come to Brighton one day. I commute to London everyday and it only takes an hour on the train. I know after a hard day in the City that I can go home and soak in the seaside atmosphere! I used slide film in my Color splash for most of the shots. I also used a fisheye for the beach huts.

Lomography Day Trips: A Three-Day Bicycle Route Across Italy and Switzerland

I live in the North of Italy, near the border with Switzerland. I love to cycle in Swiss territory, because their car traffic is lower than in Italy and because there are nice bicycle paths free of cars and motorbikes. In this article I'll show you a nice three-day bicycle path that I cycled last summer. Take a look after the jump!

Summer Hot Spots: Blaavand, Denmark (Part Two)

When I was a child, I regularly went to Blaavand, located at the Danish west coast, with my brothers and parents. I stopped going there as I grew up. In 2012 however, we hit the road again. It was my first return visit in about 20 years. I took the chance and packed as many cameras as possible into my luggage. In part two of my journey log, I'm going to show you the pictures I took with my Lomography cameras.

    An Afternoon in Tagaytay Highlands

I have good memories of Tagaytay Highlands. There had been times when some of my friends and I would spend the weekend there, playing all sorts of sports and having our bodies healed in the warm and lapping jacuzzi pool. But those were distant memories. I was able to go back to this place, but only for an afternoon, and tried to remember the good old days.

A Salute to the Masters: The Democratic Eye (A Tribute to William Eggleston)

William Eggleston is one of the most important contemporary master and pioneer of color photography. In this article I write a tribute to his particular democratic way of looking around. For him "Nothing was more important or less important", and everything is worthy of being photographed. Again, he is fond of the dear old film; he said that "I don't think much about the digital world, because I am in the analog world!". Read more after the jump!

Digital Photography vs. Analogue Photography: Is One Superior to the Other, and Might There Be Room For Both?

Digital media is completely changing photography. If you pit the conveniences of digital media against the aesthetic sophistication of traditional media, which is superior? The real question could be: to what extent can digital and analogue photography coexist?
