Like other Kodak slide films, E100G, when cross-processed, does not render strong colour shift like Fuji slides often do, but it does give a nice blue tint to your picture when shooting on a sunny day with blue sky.
However, compared to Kodak Elitechrome series (e.g. EB or EBX) and its siblings in the Ektachrome family (e.g. E100VS), the colours of this film are not as saturated and contrasty with cross-processing. Sometimes you can hardly recognise it’s cross-processed, yet there is something special about the colours that makes you curious. As a result, don’t expect to see madly blue skies with this film. Instead, the sky looks just a little deeper than it actually is. When shooting indoors or at night with artificial lights, though, it can produce vivid colours, in particular, warm yellow and red. The grain is always fine, day or night.
In a word, this film is not for color-blind xpro maniacs, but an ideal choice for those who prefer natural tones yet just want to add a little extra something to their photos by way of cross-processing.
