Washington DC can be a fantastic vacation getaway spot. Watch out because there are a lot of people that think the exact same thing. I found that when you get away from the mall and take a nice stroll through the city there are many nice things to point your camera at. The city is very clean (at least parts are) and there are a ton of clubs and things to do that don't involve US history, if one is trying to get away from all that. Of course all the stuff that is part of the mall and US history is really nice too.

I liked the zoo best, but I’m a sucker for zoos. I know people have issues of the animals locked up in cages and what not, but they get fed and bathed everyday, hell lock me up in a zoo and come take pictures of me. The national zoo is one of the cleanest, best maintained zoos that I have ever been to. The animals appear to be happy and well taken care of. It is also one of the largest zoos in the US and they are expanding. You’ll find a lot of tourists here and lots of kids, but hey they need their pictures taken too. The metro will take you where you need to go and you might as well take its picture too.
The Algarve region in the south of Portugal attracts tourists from all over Europe all year round. But what most people (luckily) don't know is that there is still a great unexplored part of the coast in Algarve, away from the masses and the cities. Come and see the Costa Vicentina, a diamond on Portugal's southwest coast.
There’s a time in a famous person’s life, when interesting facts are being discovered. We think Mathematician and physician Joseph Maximilian Petzval is now famous enough to have his secrets revealed. Join us as we stroll through Viennese Petzval History.
I'm Nick Page, a graphic designer based in the UK. After 20 years of working in advertising, I returned to film photography five years ago and found that the analogue life was just what I needed to get away from the "pixel perfect" images I deal with every day in my job.
Really want to bring your film photos to life? We’re now offering totally analogue fine art prints in a host of large sizes and formats! Carefully enlarged from your negatives onto premium photographic paper by lab professionals, each picture is a unique piece of craftsmanship.

Only an hour and a half away, Platja D'Aro is a very nice alternative to the crowded beaches in Barcelona. If you get there early, you'll get a very nice spot. It's great to go there with kids and the whole family
Jürgen Bürgin finds pleasure in strolling through the hustle and bustle of the world's biggest cities and shooting street photographs without being recognized. For Lomography, however, the Film PR agent and photographer from Berlin took a different path, literally! We gave him a Lomo LC-A+ camera for his journey to the French Provence and waited in anticipation for his travel pictures away from the big city.
If you are in search of a lesser known European city full of nice examples of art and architecture, I would recommend that you visit Palermo, the capital of the region of Sicily in the South of Italy. This city is rich with wonderful churches, squares, fountains, and other important monuments and buildings! Take a look after the jump!
I live in the North of Italy, near the border with Switzerland. I love to cycle in Swiss territory, because their car traffic is lower than in Italy and because there are nice bicycle paths free of cars and motorbikes. In this article I'll show you a nice three-day bicycle path that I cycled last summer. Take a look after the jump!
If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!
