Esta foi a primeira parada entre os pontos turísticos que meus amigos me levaram para conhecer durante minha estada em Oman, durante as férias. Fica localizado a cerca de 10 minutos de carro do centro da cidade e a algumas centenas de metros da orla da praia, ou corniche como eles chamam.
Eu fiquei u pouco decepcionado quando vimos o cartaz que dizia que o museu estava fechado para reformas de manutenção. Eu tive que me contentar de fotografar fora do forte.
Algumas semanas depois, nós voltamos lá. Não tivemos sucesso porque o acesso ainda não estava liberado. Quando estávamos quase indo embora, eu notei um grupo de turistas nu dos lados do forte, então os segui e fui surpreendido pela existência de um jardim, sem contar a bela vista para uma mesquita vizinha. Bem, o guia turístico do grupo decidiu descrever o interior do forte e eu não pude evitar ouvi-lo por acaso.
Acho que não era p’ra acontecer. Eu fiquei realmente intrigado pelo lugar, isso seria um motivo para voltar, além da chance de visitar minha família, é claro.
