Why not hacking the furniture? Why hiding the cameras when they are so pretty? My home is full of things with different use they were thought, that's recycling! And of course, a home of a Lomographer must show, even in a subtle way, what his addictions are.
Let’s start. One day I was tired of seeing my Moppes (Ikea drawers system) as in the catalog. So I thought I had enough material to improve it.
Just with the help of a scissors and some glue, I could fix my favorite pictures to the drawers front.
Some years ago, around Christmas, someone give me a wooden box with 3 bottles of wine. Once the wine was gone, I thought I could use the empty box to save my architecture memorabilia. So I fixed it to the wall. Then I glued my favorite picture I took in a trip to Finland with my Lubitel on its sliding lid. This is my secret place to store all the books, leaflets and postcards I collected during that trip.
My bookshelf (designed by this Lomographer and done by his father) is full of books, magazines, documents, toys and a collection of things difficult to picture them there (an old electrical heater, a tripod…). At first I used one shelf to save my cameras, but as the collection was growing and I need them on hand while they had film, I begin to put them where they fit. And that’s what you could see in my bookshelf. However, most of them are still in its box…
