Koblenz is one of the most beautiful towns in whole Germany, and that’s the main reason to go there. One more thing – when you come to this town, head to the center, to be exact – to the Jesuiten Platz, which is the place, where the Town Hall is situated.

In Rathaus or Town Hall, you will find a tourist office, where you will find any information you need. And after leaving the tourist office, take a good look around. Do you see a small red painted Café right in front of you? Head there without thinking – this is the place, where you will get superb coffee or tea, and where you will be able to plan your trip in this town by reading all the “gifts” from the tourist center. My advice – take the comfortable table just near the windows, so that you could relax just watching people passing by. In my case, I was there in early spring, so it was even a more fabulous place, letting me get warm and feel again my fingers, which were already deadly cold after taking millions of shots in the old town of Koblenz. If I’m not mistaken, the prices were unbelievably friendly – well, it’s the heart of the town, so it should be awfully expensive, but this little Café let’s you feel like at home. Friendly waitress comes only when you finish your cup of Latte, and asks if you want something more… Of course I do!!! I even tried some excellent German desserts, and they were so delicious, that I thought I will never leave this place. Next time in Koblenz – I will head up there and try some hot dishes…

    Changing Seasons: Durham in Autumn

Durham is a beautiful but tiny university city in the north of England famous for its amazing cathedral, which is one of Britain's best loved buildings. When I was studying at the university, I loved to go for crisp, autumnal walks around the cathedral and the river, kicking the leaves and basking in the golden glow of the season. The Lomography Redscale film perfectly captures the beauty of this time of year.

Fresh from the LomoLab: My Summer at a Campsite

I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!

The World According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

Fresh From the Lab: Take Off Your Socks and Shoes - It's Summertime!

Every year, just a few weeks before summer, I dedicate a series of photos to the joy of living outdoors in this good season. One of the most common pleasures is taking one's socks and shoes off to feel the first warm rays of sun on our pale feet, which were prisoners inside shoes throughout the long winter season. So, it's time to take off your socks and shoes and relax barefoot! Where? Of course, on the walls surrounding the beautiful lake! Take a look!

Angela Izzo on Shooting with the Diana Mini, Photographing Musicians, and Then Some

While many of us can only dream of working with musicians and photographing them, Angela Izzo's job entails exactly that. Apparently, this is a fulfillment of her own dream that she had when she was younger. In this interview, Izzo talks about her beginnings which, of course, included going to as many shows and festivals as she possibly can; some of her most memorable on-the-job-experiences with the likes of The Doors, Lykke Li, Jack White, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Chris Robinson Brotherhood; her inspirations and other interests; and her love for film photography and Diana Mini. And to those looking into fulfilling their own dreams of working in the same industry, Izzo also shares helpful advice based on her own experiences.
