Alanga Hotel

Searching for a trip next spring? Wanna see the real Sea and smell the real vacation-time-smell? Then you must at least give a chance to the most popular Lithuanian resort near the sea, called the Palanga town. It has a lot to offer, not only in the summertime, when the streets are full of street artists and lots of attractions, but also at any time of the year. And if you need a really peaceful accommodation place, then you just have to choose this hotel - Alanga. Yes, you're completely right, if you did get the idea of the hotel's name: Alanga is in Palanga and it has only the first letter missing. And it's also the name of the river, near which the hotel is situated.

And if you need a really peaceful accommodation place, then you just have to choose this hotel – Alanga. Yes, you’re completely right, if you did get the idea of the hotel’s name: Alanga is in Palanga and it has only the first letter missing. And it’s also the name of the river, near which the hotel is situated.

The hotel is in the best possible place, because it is just in the second street from the main street, but as it is situated in a living region, it is so quiet, that you will not notice the over-the-night playing music from clubs and street bars and of course you do not need a car to get to any place, as it is right in the heart of the town. Some people say that at quiet nights the murmur of the Baltic Sea can be heard, but I could not hear that. One more thing: do you like balconies? I am a total addict of those little nice balconies, so I was more than shocked when I saw, that my double room (more than a flat, not a room, because I had also the kitchen and a living room, not mentioning the bathroom and the bedroom) did have 4 balconies!!! Can you imagine that? I just took the chair and did spend some time in every balcony of this flat… How to find it? Just follow the signs on the streets, as they are everywhere – this is one of the most beautiful hotels in the city.

Music is evocative in itself. To further enjoy the magic a musical experience, we are honoured to introduce La Flamme’s videoclip for the titular single of its album, ‘La Magia está en ti’ (The Magic is inside of you). It’s a collection of images that not only works as a promotional piece, but also as a guide to one's emotions. And if that wasn't remarkable enough, some of the images have been filmed with our very own LomoKino!

Stop bath is a type of chemical used in the darkroom for processing black and white film, aptly named as such because it halts the development of the images. In this case, stop bath is also part of the title that Korean analogue street photographer Soomin Yim has given her body of work, "Stop Bath the City," to represent the forgotten faces of people in the city amid rapid modernization, captured and immortalized on black and white film.
