It turned out to be the best spot for me to spend my day! I remembered that I dream of it before…

“The Agora was the heart of Athens from the 6th c. BC onwards. It was the place for political gatherings and debate,for elections, religious occasions and trading activities, theatrical performances and athletic competitions.” – That is what the guide says, it was THE spot even centuries ago.

You have a nice view of the acropolis from the area, and since it’s nicer up close, you can see visitors lining up. You can reach it by metro > Thision. It’s a great green area with lots of animals that live there and so many things to see and discover. I would go back regularly if i was living in Athens… worth a visit definitely!
