This tipster is meant for those kids below the age of 10 but anyone can try it at home. Results may vary.
1. Get daddy to load an instant camera and tell him that you want some portraits done.
2. Start posing and acting all cool.
3. Start asking daddy how to use the camera and find out where the shutter button is.
4. Begin by requesting politely … saying that you want to be the one taking the photos instead.
5. Start crying loudy and kick up a fuss if daddy doesn’t allow you to do that. Skip this step if daddy says ‘ok’.
6. Get daddy to make monkey faces and pose for you. Show him some examples if he is too dumb or proud to do so
7. Go drag mommy into the party. She may be reluctant to be the clown for you … but you can apply step 5 if necessary.
8. Ask daddy for another pack of film and if he runs out of it … repeat step 5.
Valerio Spada went beyond his comfort zone and stepped right into the battlefield with his camera. He went to Naples, Italy, an area populated by the Camorra Mafia but also home to Annalisa Durante who, at the age of 14, was killed by a bullet aimed at a Camorra boss. What happened to her could've happened to any of the girls portrayed in the book Gommorah Girl. This work is about Annalisa. It's about all of the girls that, just like her, seem doomed to an unfair destiny - which, hopefully, may still change.

When a photographer encounters a pair, an instinct rushes in, "Is this a special, intimate moment I just stumbled on?" My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. March was for caffenol. You have probably heard of the amazing fact that you can develop black and white photos with coffee, sodium, and vitamin C. I had tried this before but with less than stellar results. Somehow, there's always something going wrong. Time to devote a few rolls to caffenol to finally get the hang of it.

Doug DuBois spent five summers photographing the small neighborhood of Russell Heights in Ireland to capture the essence of coming of age: the inevitable loss of youth and the imminent transition into adulthood. Those four years resulted in his latest book, My Last Day At Seventeen. The book is a visual tale told through a collection of photographs and gives an alternative perspective through a comic narrative around the same subject. This creative combination of two distinct narratives in one book not only works wonderfully in visual terms; it also serves as an essential tool that lets the reader dig deeper into the story being told, making one go back to the book over and over again, yet from a new perspective, every single time.
