Tell us about yourself and what you do.

I am an architect. To complement my work, I’ve attached myself to music, photography, and gaming, which influenced many aspects of my designs as well as the lomographs I take.

Tell us something about your LomoHome’s name. Why did you decide to have that username?

One of the in-game racers in Need For Speed was named Hoseun. It sounded quite similar to my real name, Hussein. I’ve been using the name Hoseun for my various online usernames and ended using it for my Lomohome too.

Share your most memorable experience in the Community.

My most memorable experience is knowing more wonderful people who share the same interest and gaining a lot of inspiration and knowledge from them. Purchasing 10 rolls of LomoChrome Purple in the Online Shop is memorable too.

Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends? If yes, name at least one of them.

It always has been the other way round for me. People who are close to me, like my awesome younger brother Nasih, ended up joining the Community.

Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next 5 years? Why?

Yes! In fact, I think I’ll be taking lomographs for the rest of my life to capture moments and create art.

What is your favorite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences using this camera?

My favorite camera is the LC-Wide as it packs a punch despite its compact size. This has been my favorite traveling companion. It has been with me during my days in the university, my architectural heritage studies abroad, and my graduation. This camera has also seen the wedding of my friends and the wonderful times I shared with my dear girlfriend.

Please share with us your favorite lomograph and explain why you love that particular image.

It took a while to think of my favorite shot since there are so many that I like. Nevertheless, this photo is the culmination of all the hard work and time I invested in pursuing my passion for photography. This is my lovely friend Khairin. I shot this with a Lubitel 166+ loaded with Kodak Aerochrome. For me, the colors are simply out of this world. It is vibrant and rich, just like what a lomograph should be.

Please share a Lomograph you wish you had taken and explain why.

This has to be one of my most favorite shots that I wish I had taken. The light rays, the colors, the shining grass – everything is breathtaking indeed. And the fact that Atria had the guts to load her Holga with the Kodak Aerochrome simply amazes me.

If there’s one song or movie that best describes your Lomo life, which one is it and why?

To Be With You by The Honey Trees. Watch it and you’ll know why.

Is there any advice you can give to new analogue shooters?

If things do not work out well in the beginning, never give up. Just keep on shooting different things and different places. Eventually, you will find that one thing you enjoy shooting the most. Also, do not be afraid to ask questions if there are things you aren’t sure about. Just voice it out here in our Community. People here are more than willing to help!
