A sweeping panorama isn't limited to what you see from left to right.
Have you ever tried using your panoramic cameras vertically? You should probably take it into consideration the next time you take your Sprocket Rocket, Horizon Perfekt, Horizon Kompakt, or any other panorama-able camera for a spin. Aside from testing and honing your photography skills, this unconventional take on panoramic cameras will definitely open up brand new perspectives.
Take on this challenge and submit five of your best panorama shots in vertical orientation for a chance to grab our reward of 10 piggies. Read on for the details:
5 winners of 10 piggies each
Maximum of five submissions per user
Don’t forget to tag your photos (film, cameras, accessories, and at least three tags). Photos without these tags will not be accepted.
Submissions must be taken using an analogue camera. Please keep in mind our vertical panoramas theme.
Between Lomography and Skillshare there are a lot of talented people. Photographers from all corners of the globe have come together to share in exploring what Lomo stands for: a little bit of experimentation mixed with an eye for aesthetics. We've chosen winners from our SkillShare Rumble -- check out what these students shot!
Lomography has teamed up with Alfred & Wilde, an East London-based design company, to bring you a glittery, golden rumble. You could win a Fisheye 2 Gold camera and one of Alfred & Wilde's striking geometric mugs! Enter the competition right here.
We have teamed up with HarperCollins to give you the chance to win a Fisheye 2 Python Edition and the book Abandoned Places by Richard Happer, which documents the ghost towns, derelict buildings and unoccupied spaces from around the world.
Everything Everything is an eclectic, glitch pop band from Manchester, England. Their music is known for complicated song structures laid with striking falsetto vocals from lead singer Jonathan Higgs. We have teamed up with Everything Everything in celebration of their new single "Spring/Sun/Winter/Dread" to offer you the chance win a signed copy of their new album "Get to Heaven" and a Sprocket Rocket SUPERPOP edition.
We had a huge response to the Lomography x Life competition and the Black and White theme showed off what great photographers you all are. It was a tough decision to make but we've finally chosen the winners. Will it be you?
It's human nature to be restless and imaginative. The real may be interpreted as what one sees or how one sees something. For the daydreamer, a scene from nature transforms into a canvas. Suddenly a field makes room for chemical coloring, all those anachronistic streaks that somehow look right. Or else, those beautiful colors amplified or subdued to their most pictorial shades. All in the world of trial-and-process film photography.
What makes an engaging image? What makes a photograph seem more like a memory than just an image? How is it able to make you feel as if you were right there, in that moment, experiencing the scene first hand?
Yes, you read that right: Lomography has once again come up with a cool new product! But as much as we want to spill the beans right this moment—where would be the fun in that, right?—we've decided to make things a little more exciting by conducting a couple of rounds of good ol' guessing game. Sounds good? Step right in and see if you can crack our clues!
