Last month, we launched the very first photo competition to honor the phenomenal New Petzval Lens. With over 300 submissions, choosing the very best ones was certainly a challenge! Are you ready to see who made the cut?
The Petzval Apprentice Competition is the first contest dedicated to the Petzval Lens. The rules were pretty simple: all photos taken with the New Petzval Lens are eligible for submission, and it is open to everyone from across the globe.
Our esteemed panel of judges, including Geoffrey Berliner, a Petzval Collector and the Executive Director of the Penumbra Foundation and the Center of Alternative Photography in New York City, sorted through the entries for the top 5 winning photos.

Last month, Lomography Gallery Store Soho held an exhibition of photographs taken at the Nixon Surf Challenge in Russia. Free drinks and live music from Swim Mountain overflowed at the opening party.
