We want to have a vacation in this purple, fairytale-like paradise, too! Will you be our guide, lomoherz?
This photograph of a surreal, candy-colored paradise by *lomoherz* makes us want to pack our bags and head for a vacation, stat! This was taken in picturesque Italy using the *Lomo LC-A* loaded with the *Lomochrome Purple XR 100-400*. And as if this photo hasn’t been enough, lomoherz triggers our wanderlust even further with an album full of luscious purple travel snaps taken not only in Italy but in Northern Germany as well!
Congratulations to lomoherz for winning Photo of the Day!
It's hard to remain calm and composed when you are in front of the ferocious king of the jungle. We salute you rocafish for being brave and giving us this wild photo! Congratulations for having our Photo of the Day!
LomoChrome Purple 400 is Lomography's answer to the legendary color infrared films Kodak Aerochrome and EIR. Much like its predecessors, it's technically demanding and full of surprises. Here's a rough guide to get that purple color you've always wanted.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
With a lovely view and a charming muse, pitzeria captured this elegant portrait to grace our Photo of the Day spot! We wouldn't be surprised if this landed on the cover of a glossy fashion magazine, too!
Did you enjoy shooting with Cine200 Tungsten Film when it launched? Or were you one of the unlucky many who missed out on this ultra-limited edition emulsion? Well, we’re thrilled to say we have an exciting follow-up to Cine200 which will launch in just a few days! And as the other film sold out so fast, we wanted to give you the opportunity to sign-up to our list to get the news as soon as it happens.
Recently, we’ve been digging through all our LC-A 120 negatives from when we first started testing the new camera. During this search, we had our very own finding Vivian Maier moment when we unearthed a bunch of photos shot by the super-talented dopic whilst he was on vacation in Japan last year. We totally love these shots and couldn’t resist sharing them with you!
I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!
I would like to tell you about the Zhuzhalka. Zhuzhalka is the slag waste that remains after coal mining. But in this story, in our case, we have another meaning for this word. Here, the Zhuzhalka is a Ukrainian group of young photographers. These photos are by artists from Donetsk city in eastern Ukraine. The name of the project was influenced by the geographic specialization of Donetsk.
I was given a roll of LomoChrome Purple 120 by a friend who was keen for me to try it out since he didn't have a medium format camera. I really didn't expect the results I got when I took it out for a test run on a bright winter's day in London.
