On the 27th of March a few passionate Lomographers met, to enjoy the first sunny days this year and to hunt for great shots. The meeting was organized in the Lomoforum.
We started at 11o’clock from the central station to the flea market on Aachener Platz. The weather forecast didn’t make us expect anything, but we had blue sky nearly the whole day! At Aachener Platz, which is probably the biggest weekly flea market in Düsseldorf, we dived directly into the hustle and bustle and out came the Diana, Diana Mini, Holga, and the LC-A!. On every stand that had cameras or other photographic stuff, we discussed in detail the advantages, disadvantages and the functionality of everything.
After a lunch break in the flea market we continued to have dessert in a nearby ice cream parlor, which was not our first ice cream on that day, but we deserved it. After a little stop in the photography magazine Calumet we continued to the old city of Düsseldorf and finished our day by a walk at the rhine promenade and a little beer in a bar.
He is a graphic designer from Kassel, Germany who has been a Community member for about a decade. His ten-year stay has been remarkably fruitful. Aside from honing his photography skills, it is in this Community of ours where he met his girlfriend, made a lot of friends, and helped organize a huge weekend meet-up for fellow lomographers. Say hello to Daniel Lauterbach, also known as trash-gordon-from-outer-space, our LomoGuru of the Week!

About two years ago, sandkorn sent me this film for our doubles. She said that she had already exposed this film using the Horizon Perfekt and shot on a sunny day, so the idea was for me to not overexpose the film. The result was so red!
In case you missed it, Lomography has just unveiled the latest member of its Art Lens family: the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens, which boasts of the same optics that the legendary LC-A camera has and brings the classic Lomographic style not only to analog but also to the digital platform. Over the next few days we'll be sharing with you the first impressions of and photographs taken by members of the Lomography team, who had gone out and put the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 to the test. First up is graphic designer Andrea Cislaghi, who coupled this lens with the Bessa R2 and Sony Alpha 7.

St. George's Day was sunny and full of energy this year. A group of Morris dancers graced us with their presence around Soho, and we took the chance to do an impromptu shoot with our favorite cameras just outside the Lomography Gallery Store!

August 24, 2014 was a great day because of the We The Fest 2014! Maybe it's too early to call it the biggest summer music festival in Jakarta because this has just been its first edition. Nevertheless, my girl and I enjoyed every moment of it!
Last Sunday, a great yoga event was held in Cernobbio, a small tourist town near the city of Como. Local association Breathe Como made a performance of power yoga exercises to raise funds for Africa. I developed the film a few days ago, and today I'll show the photos to you! I call this "Fresh From My Darkroom" because I developed the black and white films by myself! Take a look!

Chloé Vollmer-Lo's photos speak for themselves. Every image, whether it's a portrait or a seemingly simple snapshot of a street alley, tells a story. The Paris-based photographer tested the New Petval Lens 85 recently, and the results, as expected, speak volumes. She talks about her experience as a freelance photographer - and with the New Petval Lens 85 - in this exclusive interview.
