Thursday 10th July from 6pm – 8pm @ EAST – Light Painting Extravaganza with the La Sardina Camera
After the success of the first workshop we have again teamed up with our friend Nilan for another light painting workshop in our east London store basement. We will transform it into a light painting haven and focus on producing dreamy photos using an EL wire, touches, glow sticks and flashes combined with long exposures. Not one to miss!
Tickets are £12 each. Includes loan of La Sardina camera, a roll of film plus film developing + CD! Call the East store on 02074260999 to book a place.
Thursday 17th July from 5-7pm @ SOHO – Experience the Lomography Petzval lens in the Flesh
For the first time ever, we bring you the chance to play with the now famous Petzval lens. We’ll be setting up some test scenarios for you to put the lens to its full potential. This lens must be seen to be believed – we promise, it lives up to the hype!
This is a FREE event! But spaces are limited so call the Soho store on 02074341466 to book a slot. There will also be free gifts for those who purchase a lens on the day!
Sunday, 20th July from 11am @ SOHO – Carnaby Street Eats x Lomography: Get Fishy with the Fisheye Camera
Capture the buzz of the Carnaby Street Eat Festival with a Fisheye camera workshop. You’ll get shown how to shoot with this super wide angle lens camera and then you’ll get the chance to photograph all the tastiest bits being featured on the day. The best photograph from the workshop will win a fisheye camera!
Workshop is free to attend but please book in advance by ringing us on 02074341466. Workshop includes the loan of the camera and a free roll of film. Please bring a valid form of identification and return the cameras back to us by 4:00 pm the same day.
Thursday 24th July from 6-9pm @ SOHO – Nixon Photographic Exhibition Opening Night
Surf’s up at the Lomography Gallery Store Soho as we feature the opening of the Nixon x Lomography France exhibition! Back in May 2014, we kitted out professional riders and photographers of the Nixon Surf Challenge with the Petzval Lomography x Zenit Lens, the LC-A+, LC-Wide, La Sardina and Fisheye cameras. What we got back was an amazing collection of photographs depicting behind-the-scene images of this formidable international surf event held on location at the Kamtchatka Peninsula in Russia. Be the first to view as we open to the doors of this exciting exhibition to the public. It will run until 14th August 2014.
There will also be live music from Swim Mountain, a 4 piece psychedelic pop band from London and you can WIN a Lomography Fisheye No.2 and Submarine Case, as well as a Nixon Limited Surf Challenge LTD Watch.
This is a FREE event! Come one and come all.
Saturday 26th July from 1pm @ SOHO – Seeing Purple with the Belair 6×12 camera
What do you get when you mix the Belair 6×12 camera and Purple Chrome film? Explosive shots, that’s what! We offer 5 lucky participants the chance to test drive this lovely bellows camera loaded with luscious Purple chrome film as we take to the parks to shoot all things green and leafy. (Top tip: all things green turn purple so it may be a good idea to wear green on the day!)
Tickets are £15 each. Includes loan of a Belair 6×12 camera, a roll of Purplechrome film plus film developing + CD! Call the Soho store on 02074260999 to book a slot.
