Light Painting Party at the Lomography Gallery Store NYC!
Spring has sprung and we’re celebrating the change of season with a Light Painting Party! Beginning at 7pm, we’ll have a Light Painting Workshop to show you the basics of Light Painting, plus techniques, tricks and tips that will have you creating your own Light Painting masterpieces in no time. A range of Lomographic cameras will be used to achieve amazing analogue results; borrow a Diana F+, Lubitel 166+, Fisheye 2, or Colorsplash camera (and a flashlight) and run wild though the neighborhood with camera, flashlight, and glow sticks in hand to light up the night! During the workshop and afterwards, join us for drinks, snacks, and live DJ to reward yourself for your newly-honed Light Painting prowess. This will be the most spectacular evening of Light Painting madness you’ll ever experience!

Last month, Lomography Gallery Store Soho held an exhibition of photographs taken at the Nixon Surf Challenge in Russia. Free drinks and live music from Swim Mountain overflowed at the opening party. Using the Petzval lens and a star-shaped aperture plate to give a beautifully soft, dreamy effect, the folks at the Soho Gallery Store created a video of the event. Watch this video after the jump.
The folks over at Lomography Hong Kong donned some Halloween costumes and took the Lomo'Instant for a spin, and produced some spectacular night and light-painted shots. The results are not too spooky but definitely filled with Halloween fun!
