Why is Horizon Perfekt your Weapon of Choice?

From the moment I first saw what the Horizon Perfekt is capable of, I knew I have to get one. Yes it’s pricey, can’t fit into a pocket and, in my experience at least, has a temperamental film advance lever, but I can look past all those simply because of the amazing pictures it can produce. Aside from its slightly smaller sibling, there really isn’t another camera out there that can do what it does. Sure there are wide angle lenses, but a 120˚ rotating lens? No, this gem is unique.

Any memorable experiences you’ve had while using the Horizon Perfekt?

Watching the sun set over Lake Huron at the Pinery Provincial Park comes to mind straight away. What better way to spend a warm summer evening than on a beach? I’m glad I had the Horizon Perfekt with me on that camping trip.

More recently, I used this camera to capture the majestic vistas of the Coast Mountain Range of British Columbia on Canada’s west coast. That panoramic field of view is perfect for landscapes.

Would you recommend the Horizon Perfekt to other Lomographers? If yes, to whom do you have in mind?

Yes. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants something different but is willing to have a camera bag with them. I feel it is best suited with the outdoors, too.

When using the Horizon Perfekt, what are you favourite subjects to photograph and why?

Landscapes. Cityscapes. Seascapes. Pretty much anything that ends in “scapes” I guess, especially where there is a wide stretch of horizon spread out before you. That super wide-angle field of view lends itself perfectly for that sort of subject matter. It’s not called a Horizon Perfekt for nothing.

The Horizon Perfekt shoots images the length of two standard frames. With full aperture and shutter settings, this premium panoramic camera gives you total control over your shots. Prepare to be blown away by the amazing Horizon Perfekt, available here.
