“CAPTURE THE BEST SMILE” Diana F+ Portraiture Workshop – $20
“Sun, 18th May ‘14 @ 2pm – 6pm”:

The wildly popular and ever informative Diana F+ Workshop is back! Get intimate with this beauty as we learn the ins and outs of this delicate delight. This workshop also aims to assist you in your techniques, imagination and creative approach to photographing interesting people. Try on different Diana lenses, discover ways to interact with new subjects and practice taking interesting portraits that tells a story! What’s more? This is a challenge from the hood from one photographer to another!
Push your creativity with us in a series of photo challenges in our heartland lomowalks. Learn more about the worn districts of our tiny island led by our friendly guides who will share interesting nuggets of the hood and show you interesting sights in the vicinity. We’ll be giving you a challenge to complete at each walk and best photo win attractive prizes from us!

“Sun, 18th May ‘14 @ 3.30pm – 6pm”: Malay Heritage Centre, Istana Kampong Gelam

Challenge: Capture the smiles of the ‘glam’ peeps in a Malay-Arabic district, known for its rich heritage and neighborly spirit. What used to be a ghetto in the 1800s has now flourished into this amazing mix of culture, food and colorful people.

“Sat, 31st May ‘14 @ 3.30pm – 6pm”: Tiong Bahru Central Plaza; open area outside UOB

Challenge: Be the ghost of the scandalous past by floating/exploring the chic, retrolicious streets of Tiong Bahru (New Cemetery) that was once filled with graveyards, mistress dens and an upper class housing estate! Capture yourself (or your friends) levitating in the most creative and humane impossible way to qualify!

How to join the challenge?
- Pick a hood and send via email to shopsingapore@lomography.com with your name, contact no., and title of the challenge. Let us know if you have your own camera.
- Don’t own a camera? Loan one from us for only $20 (inclusive of a roll of film). We would suggest you to join our workshop prior to the challenge on that day. Details will be provided when you RSVP.

Rules:
- Open to all types of analogue cameras and films.
- Submit your best photos to shopsingapore@lomography.com before 8 June 2014 with your name, contact no., and challenge title.
- No limit on number of photo submissions.
- Only photo taken on the day of the challenge and at the venue will be accepted.
- Results will be announced on the Lomography Embassy Singapore Facebook page on 16 June 2014.

    Last month, Lomography Gallery Store Soho held an exhibition of photographs taken at the Nixon Surf Challenge in Russia. Free drinks and live music from Swim Mountain overflowed at the opening party. His current project, 365 of Lomography, will chronicle his day-to-day exploits with Lomography cameras.
