Let's take a break from all those puzzling color names. Cyan Lomographs, anyone?

What’s a ‘hex’ anyway?

Hex actually pertains to hex values, which are 6-digit hexidecimal numbers that are primarily used in web design. Your photographs can be viewed by hex values and we have almost 1,500 common colors that you can browse through, most of which have names that are quirky, goofy, and downright weird. But don’t be fooled, these colors are real eye candies, too!

One of the basic colors in the CMYK model, the color Cyan lies between blue and green, and is a complementary color of red. Its name was derived from the Ancient Greek word κυανός which means dark blue.

Well, Cyan definitely reminds us of the beach! That shouldn’t be a surprise because the shallow oceans waters usually have a greenish-blue color, pretty much like the dominating hue in these handpicked Lomographs:
