Psychedelic blue and purple hues are indeed the perfect background for this fuzzy grid and lines. Congratulations bloomchen for having our Photo of the Day!
Time in the darkroom is equally important as the time spent in shooting photographs. Case in point, this eye popping photo full of amazing colors by community member bloomchen. Bloomchen processed his photos in a concoction that’s made up of sherry, alcohol, green tea, and hydrogen peroxide and yielded a whopping surprise. This photo was shot using a Canon AE-1 loaded with expired Kodak Ektar 100 film. You can see more photos from bloomchen in this album.
Congratulations to bloomchen for winning Photo of the Day!
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
Often we find subjects so interesting, we can't help but train our cameras on them. Most of the time the act of snapping a photo goes by uneventfully. But sometimes, a little trouble finds us. Here's one such story by bloomchen.
Sometimes when taking pictures I get addressed by strangers either because of my cameras or because they don't want me to shoot something they claim they have responsibility for. But having the police on my back was a new experience.
Our LomoAmigo Kate Bellm is well-known for her psychedelic shots and Lomography's LomoChrome film is perfect for signature style. With some rolls of LomoChrome Purple and Turquoise film in her bag, the Deyá-based photographer went on a trip to Iceland and came back with otherworldly landscape shots.
