So far, those are the practical information you have to learn about, because all you really need to know is that Langkawi is a true paradise destination, straight out of your dreams. Think of great weather, gorgeous nature, beautiful parks, waterfalls, palm trees, spectacular views, tranquility, cocktails, spontaneous parties and best of it all, great beaches. I stayed on Pulau Langkawi, where I found a lovely little hippie hostel by coincidence. Its owner turned out to be a very old Japanese man who once arrived in Langkawi and immediately decided to change his life and move permanently to the islands. Lots of his guests turned out to have similar stories: they went to Langkawi for a short holiday, but eventually stayed for months or longer. Langkawi has a very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere that is hard to describe, but attracts a lot of people.
Nature lovers will adore Langkawi, which was given a World Geopark status by UNESCO in 2007. Beach, sun or party lovers will love Langkawi as well, because this paradise island has something to offer for everyone. So if you want to feel like you’re in some kind of hippie relaxed fairy tale dreamworld where life is easy, take the airplane or ferry straight to Langkawi. But be aware: you might never come back!
