Experimenting with old and expired films sometimes renders rather disappointing results but this is not always the case, as evidenced by this vivid and psychedelic Photo of the Day by roman_sekatsky! Congratulations!
Unpredictability is the name of the game when you experiment with different films, especially when you use really old rolls. This is exactly the case with roman_sekatsky’s winning Photo of the Day! A quick look at the photo can make you imagine a wall artistically splashed with paint that contributed that mural-like look. This photo was shot using the *Sprocket Rocket* and expired slide film. You can see more from roman_sekatsky in this album-.
Congratulations to roman_sekatsky for winning Photo of the Day!
Rocking an ingenious use of multiple exposure and color gels, aliceinchains definitely gave this rather straightforward portrait a creative and psychedelic twist! Congratulations for winning our Photo of the Day!

This psychedelic display of colors is calling us to pack our bags and move into this magical rainbow city! Is the pot of gold here, too? Kidding! Congratulations alcastan for having our Photo of the Day!
Sometimes, experiments and curiosity yield the best results. This is what photographer Cody Thomas discovered when he tried out black and white film photography with his Holga camera. See more of his black and white photos after the jump.
The Horizon Kompakt is a miracle in the shape of a 35mm camera. Just watching its multi-coated swing lens as it sweeps 120° degrees is a wonder to behold. With "Day" and "Night" shooting settings and battery free operation, it's also incredibly simple to use. Capture picture-perfect panoramas and get prints approximately the size of two standard frames. With the Kompakt, you'll see the world from a whole new perspective.
I've been experimenting with many substances, more or less corrosives, for film manipulation. The images come out so different, that sometimes you can't even recognize them. The pictures in this experiment are a result of mixing bleach and detergent powder.
