Please tell us something about yourself.

I am 22 years old. I have been living in Amsterdam for the past 2 1/2 years. I was born and raised in Germany. My father is from Iran and my mother from Afghanistan. I have always loved photography. For me, it is so important to capture every moment of life. It’s nice to have photographs of my daily life that I can always look back to.

My boyfriend and I are in a very creative relationship. It’s nice that we can combine music and photography. We have a perfect chemistry in both photography and music. We love to do these things together.
My second love is the music. I play the piano and drums. Since I moved to Amsterdam, photography become a big part of my everyday life. I always bring cameras with me. It doesn’t matter if I am just going to the supermarket or just taking a walk around. You’ll never know what going to happen.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

s0y introduced me to the Lomography community. She works in the Lomography shop in Amsterdam and she helped me with all my film-related questions. If I have any difficulties or questions, I can always go there to get help.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

Rule No. 1 Take your camera everywhere you go.

In this digital age, why still film?

I love analog – it doesn’t matter if it is in music or photography.

Because you can never really know what will come out of that moment you just captured. I love it when I turn on my scanner and see how my pictures came out.

Your favorite analogue camera as of the moment? Why?

Honestly, it is my AGFA Billy record. It is such an old camera but it can still take amazing pictures. The camera is 81 years old but it still works.

What is the Lomography camera you’d want to have someday?

I would love to have the Lomo Lubitel 166+.

Any song or movie you live by?

He who seeks of only vanity,
And no love for humanity,
Shall fade away, fade away.

Share your current favorite Lomograph. Why is this your favorite?

Any Community member you look up to? If so, why him or her?

I would say I look up to everybody because there are so many fantastic lomographers out there. But I really love the work of HODACHROME. His pictures are just amazing. I wish I could take pictures like his!

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

I am looking forward to learning more from the fantastic tipsters and getting creative ideas and feedback from all the Community members.
