It's spring! ... OK it may not feel like spring in Chicago, but it can if you believe! We're pretending the flowers are blooming, and going back to our regular hours (11am -7pm everyday). That's not all! We've got our usual slew of fun workshops planned out for all of you, and our second annual St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt! Can you believe it's been a year since the last one? Since this is round two, we expect everyone to bring their A-game!
Sunday March 9th @ 2pm – Redscale with Rachel
Learn all about the magic of redscale film with our redscale guru Rachel! She will teach you everything you need to know about what redscale is, and how to even make your own 35mm redscale film. We will then head out to the park to take some pictures. Bring your Diana F+, Holga, or Belair to this workshop and it’s only free! But you can always borrow one from us for just $10 ($7 for students).
Sunday March 16th @ 12pm – 2nd Annual St. Patricks Day Scavenger Hunt
Back by popular demand – our most exciting scavenger hunt of the year! Are you tired of the regular bar hopping scene on St. Patrick’s Day? Why not drink with a purpose and a chance to win some prizes! Join us for this epic scavenger hunt with a group of 3-5, or come alone and make some lifelong friends. This will be a St. Patrick’s Day you won’t forget. Your group will be given a Diana with an Instant Back, a pack of Instax Mini Film, and a list of items to photograph. Shoot your interpretation of the list and head back to the store to tally up your points. But, to make it even more exciting, you only have 3 hours to shoot as much as you can on the list! There will be some bar hopping involved so this is a 21+ event. (Sorry kids!) An extra 10 points is awarded to the team wearing the most green! READY–SET–GO!! Hunt
Sunday March 23rd @ 2pm – Take off with the Sprocket Rocket
3-2-1- BLAST OFF! The exciting Sprocket Rocket will take you places no other camera has gone before. This wide angle panoramic beauty shoots like no other pano camera can, with sprockets!
