On February 25, Steven Soderbergh uploaded the close to 90-minute-long Psychos on _Extension 765_, “a one-of-a-kind marketplace from Steven Soderbergh.” On a memo simply titled _No. 14._, its signee Fabrizia del Dongo, “Co-President [of] Dept. of Impact Attentuation” wrote, “Mr/Dr. Soderbergh wants everyone to know that this post comes from a place of ‘total affection, openness, and honey bought directly from a beekeeper…’” Soderbergh, for those who aren’t familiar yet with him, is the director of films like “Sex, Lies, and Videotape,” “King of the Hill,” “Erin Brokovich,” and the “Ocean’s” trilogy.

“Psycho,” as we all know, is arguably Hitchcock’s most famous work and is also one of the best and most influential films to have ever been made. While the original was filmed in black and white, van Sant’s was in full color. What Soderbergh basically did was intercut scenes from the original and the remake, with the clips from the remake converted to black and white save for the infamous shower scene in which he overlaid frames of the remake over the original. Unfortunately, Extension 765 doesn’t allow video embeds so instead we’re just going to showcase a few stills from Soderbergh’s work here:
