It is unavoidable to experience discomfort while on a portrait sitting, be it your subject or you yourself. It’s natural. Portrait photographer Tamara Lackey, in this extremely informative video, talks about how to straddle the fine line between self-consciousness and self-awareness as far as shooting is concerned. She gives entertaining and educational examples of the social and technical intricacies of portrait photography. The World, According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life.
