Awesome Albums: Aerochrome Love Affair #3 by lazybuddha

1

The stunning photos you are about to see in this installment of Awesome Albums have been Community favorites, and, as the title suggests, will make you fall in love with the ultra-rare Aerochrome infrared film.

It has been almost three years since our fellow lomographer lazybuddha took the snaps above, but the entire album keeps on getting likes and comments up to the present. Why wouldn’t it — it’s easy to see what has been catching the attention of everyone in the Community: the rich, surreal colors created by the ultra-rare Kodak Aerochrome infrared film, plus the crisp sharpness rendered by the Lubitel 166B!

It’s also worth noting that lazybuddha wrote a story behind the breath-taking photos. “I felt like I knew her now, at least as well as one could. She was sensitive yet easy to be with, not the fickle, high maintenance girl I’d imagined,” he said, alluding to the mysterious infrared film. As the title of the album suggests, this is part three of his love affair with Aerochrome. Check out awesome albums #1 and #2 to read (and see) more of his story!

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.

Lomography x Zenit New Petzval Lens: Wandering Through The Big Apple

There’s something about New York that attracts people, something that makes both visitors from the most bucolic places and tourists from the most cosmopolitan of cities fall in love. Countless movies and television programs have been filmed in New York, and so many songs have been written in reminiscence of the place. It’s not just the Empire State Building, Times Square or Broadway; there’s something special about the streets and the people who walk on them that make spectators stop, look, and listen.
