What happens when you eat bugs? United Kingdom’s teanroberts offers us a scenario through this one-minute-long stop motion film!
We all know that we’re not supposed to eat bugs except maybe for some, um, species that are considered delicacies. This collaboration by United Kingdom’s Teän Roberts (*teanroberts*) and Jennivi Jordan starts innocently enough: a girl in a green jumper (Alys Metcalf) can be seen eating some of the bugs that swarmed around her head. The movie then takes a darker turn, yet it manages to keep its whimsical vibe through the upbeat piano music and colorful props employed! Roberts revealed, “I’ve never made any moving image work before,” but we have to say, this isn’t bad at all!

The new Kino Stories series aims to put the well-deserved spotlight on these gems, so keep those creative juices flowing and tell us your story! Who knows, you just might get featured in an upcoming installment!
