February is the time to share love, and take pictures! We've got some great workshops coming up just for our Chicago community. This month we've decided to focus on some essential analogue photography techniques. We want everyone to fall in love with the magic of film photography, just like we have!
Sunday February 9th @4pm – Bulb Setting
Learn how to take photos at night or indoors without a flash. Using the “bulb” setting on your camera can open up a whole new world of night time photography. We’ll teach you how to use this setting and show you some cool things you can do in the dark without a flash.
Sunday February 16th @2pm – Intro to Film Photography
Getting into film photography is a little intimidating if you don’t know how to get started. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to start shooting film! Don’t have a camera? No problem! We have lots of different cameras for you to rent. You’ll be an analogue photography pro at the end of this workshop!
Sunday February 23rd @2pm – Double Exposure Tips & Tricks
Have you ever wanted to learn how to do double exposures? This workshop will teach you how to get the most of your MX switch on your camera, and we’ll even teach you some basic tricks so you can take the coolest double exposures.
All workshops are $10 or $7 for students and include a loaner camera and a roll of film. Bring your own Lomography camera and it’s FREE!"

We've got a great month of workshops and events planned for the month of August. The perfect way to end this beautiful summer in Chicago! So grab your cameras (or borrow from us) and let's take some pictures!
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
As the weather warms up and the sun begins to shine, it's time to take your cameras off the shelf and into action. April is a special month because of Film Photography Day, marking a special date for us film photographers. We need you to help celebrate the wonders of film photography and keep the magic alive. #filmphotographyday2015

Hi, everyone! I'd like to share with you my 2014 summary on analogue photography. Some things I did were completely new, while some were my good old habits. This year I learned how to develop black and white film, which I consider my greatest milestone. But the most important thing is that in 2014, I remain in love with Lomography! And the rest? Well, let's see...

For Crow, his LC-Wide, which he fondly calls Elsie, is the perfect camera for his "Don't think, just shoot" attitude. He takes it wherever he goes and even uses the camera to teach his daughter about photography. In this interview, he shares more about his love for the LC-Wide plus some of the photographs taken by his young apprentice.
The Lomography Sprocket Rocket - my first analogue camera ever - and I have had some troubled times behind us. We have been involved in a stormy love-hate relationship for several years. But in the end, we luckily managed to get over ourselves and overcome our problems. Now he's my old time favorite. Old love never rusts, that is.
It's June already and that can only mean one thing - SUNSHINE! We've got a great line up of workshops and events this month so take advantage of the glorious weather and join us for some analogue adventures.
