Lomography are proud to announce Euphoric Serenity by Japanese photographer and Lomography fan Takeshi Suga. Takeshi lived and worked in Scotland until 2012 shooting predominantly for British music magazine NME. He photographed a number of gigs and festivals as well as going on the road with Mogwai, Frank Turner and The Wombats. The private view for this exhibition will be on February 6th. Read on for more details.
Takeshi's whimsical and delicate imagery taken with analogue cameras has been featured on many established websites and blogs including Dazed Digital, The Fox Is Black, Huffington Post Arts, It’s Nice That and many others. In 2013, he collaborated with Japanese fashion brand Ear Papillonner for their Spring/Summer Collection.
“I believe there’s complete calmness at the height of pure excitement. ‘Euphoric Serenity’ is the state I was in at the time of making these photographs I’m exhibiting here, all of which were taken with analogue cameras. I love analogue. It’s more physical and human than digital; it has many unique characters, both good and bad just like us.”
Join us for the Private View of this exciting new exhibition, entry is free!
