Luke Skywalker saying 'Stop, in the name of love' with his arm outstretched towards the camera

1

Luke Skywalker might be saying and stopping the photographer for something else we may never know, but we can't deny this is quite an interesting photo!

Actually, it was Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew who captioned the behind the scene snap above with “Stop, in the name of love, before you break my heart…” Perhaps, his fellow Star Wars actor Mark Hamill was trying to say something else (or stop the photographer from snapping him for some reason), but Mayhew’s caption sure fits this interesting photo, don’t you think?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the behind the scenes photos shared by Chewbacca -- we mean Peter Mayhew -- right here!

William Helburn's Sexy and Glamorous Ads from the 1950s-1960s

William Helburn was one of the greatest ad photographers never quite known. His name remained anonymous behind famous ads for Coca-Cola, Buick, Revlon and Max Factor. He brought out the plush side of Kodachrome and surprised the American public with sexy humor. The credit is long overdue, but a recent book pays tribute to Helburn's vibrant career.

Transient Living: Armitage & McMillan in Denver, Colorado

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.

"Grandpa's Photos" is exactly what it says on the title - vintage photographs taken by an Australian man named Stephen Clarke who frequently went on trips around the world. But make no mistake in concluding that it's simply a showcase; Clarke's grandson, Dave Tomkins, has also taken it upon himself to honor his late grandfather as a talented photographer. In this interview, Tomkins introduces him to us and shares the idea behind his personal project.

Derek Woods is an Los Angeles-based photographer who previously got involved in a controversy surrounding a photo that was used in the opening credits of the HBO TV series "True Detective." Coincidentally, Woods happens to be a member of the Lomo community, and it became vital to interview him regarding the issue. The interview was successful and was published in May last year. His current project, 365 of Lomography, will chronicle his day-to-day exploits with Lomography cameras. To jog your memory, and to re-acquaint you with Woods, we are republishing our interview with the controversial photographer. Please take note that some of the photos are NSFW.
