Heartwarming Christmas stories are always nice to hear about. In the case of photographer Lee Morris’ dad, it’s even more interesting, as it took a lot of planning to happen and it involves photography.

The story is that his dad’s dream car is a 1968 Camaro, and as a holiday surprise, he wanted to give him one for Christmas. Getting that car is a challenge in itself but he was able to procure one just in time. Before giving it to his dad though, his photographer instincts kicked in and he decided to shoot it first and give the car portrait to his dad. This sets the stage for his surprise. Watch the whole video below for more details and to see his dad’s reaction!

We know that it’s a few days after Christmas already, but we hope that you enjoy and go ‘awww’ at this video as much as we did. Happy holidays, everyone!

This is a story about one of those cameras, a Yashica 635 TLR. I brought the camera—after being in storage for about 55 years—back to life with a roll of Portra 160 during the golden hour at Bellevue Botanical Gardens in Washington.
