As long as you're sufficiently inspired, you can never run out of photo ideas. A perfect example would be Erno-Erik Raitanen's incredibly interesting Bacteriograms!
One usually associates bacteria with sickness and other icky things, but artist Erno-Erik Raitanen found a way to channel it into something good and creative! In his Bavteriograms, the Finnish artist gets bacteria from his own body and cultivates it on a gelatin surface of a film negative. During the whole chemical process, the bacteria consumes the gelatin and leaves interesting shapes and colors on the negative that is eventually developed in the darkroom.
