Photo of the Day by mczoum

2

It's another one of those multiple exposure shots that deserve recognition as our Photo of the Day.

Credits: mczoum

The church in the photo is the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, known to locals as as Sacré-Cœur Basilica. *Mczoum* gave the photo a different twist by rendering a double exposure of geraniums in the same frame. It was taken using a *Lomography Diana Mini* loaded with *Lomography X Tungsten 35mm film.* The shot is part of the first roll of Lomography X Tungsten film that mczoum ever tried. His reaction?

“My first try of the Tungsten and I love the result !”

Congratulations to mczoum for his winning photo!

Dude, what an awesome photo. It doesn't even look like a double exposure, it just looks like an apocalyptic sky!

    Registering Moments With the Lomo'Instant

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.

Not all photographs are meant to be seen in vibrant, saturated colors, and neither are they always suitable for in black and white. Lomography welcomes yet another innovation from KONO! The Reanimated Film. Without diminishing the aesthetic value of images, KONO! Donau 35mm Film casts a distinct blue tone to photos. It is ultra-low ISO film that is best used for long exposure shots. 12 Months, 12 Projects: February - Nighttime Traffic

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. In February, I wanted to take one of those long exposure night shots of traffic. You know the type: nighttime cityscape, with bright red and white stripes where traffic passes. I love those shots, but I had never gotten around taking one.

Photographers on Why They Still Shoot Film (Part 2)

It is Film Photography Day, and we are counting the ways the activity fuels the imagination. One photographer likens it to the soulful sound of an LP. Another chases its risk or does it with a leap of faith. But the consensus is clear: Film photography keeps people on their toes for the best possible shot.

There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
