Christmas Tree Made From 40 Tripods

Just in case you have 40 tripods in hand and have a lot of time available, why not make a Christmas tree out of it like these guys?

What do you do when you have 40 tripods, 300 ornaments, and 486 feet of garland lights? The guys over at Custom SLR did the natural thing to do – create a huge Christmas tree just in time for the holidays! It took over 14 hours to assemble the massive 17 foot tall tree, which is an achievement in its self.

The Custom SLR guys didn’t just do this for shits and giggles though, as all the decorations are being donated to the Salvation Army, and the tripods are being donated to afterschool and nonprofit photography programs. Here’s to a happy photography-filled holidays for everyone!

Countless movies and television programs have been filmed in New York, and so many songs have been written in reminiscence of the place. It’s not just the Empire State Building, Times Square or Broadway; there’s something special about the streets and the people who walk on them that make spectators stop, look, and listen.
