So you got yourself the latest Instax camera - the Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic and you want to shoot selfies with it. In this tipster, I'll show you a few techniques to make the most out of your camera's double exposure feature.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with simply taking selfies like this:
But don’t you want to make use of the extra features you paid for? One of those extra features exclusive to the Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic model is the double exposure mode. Here are three ways to shoot selfies (and shoot anything, actually) with it.
1. Fake your light leaks.
I snapped the first exposure on my computer’s galaxy wallpaper and shot the next on myself. Here’s the result:
2. Shoot half frame.
I covered half of the lens with gaffer tape, shot one exposure then replaced the tape on the previously uncovered half before shooting the next exposure.
3. Add some words.
You can mask yourself on text if you shoot black text on white background, or vice versa.
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week.
