Salvador Dalí Dons a Horn-Like Hat and Sees Eye to Eye Quite Literally with a Rhino

Most of us would’ve balked in fear seeing an animal this big up close, but most certainly not eccentric artist Salvador Dalí!

This photograph was taken by the renowned American portrait photographer, the late Philippe Halsman, in 1952. In 1956, Dalí created a sculpture called _Rinoceronte vestido con puntillas (Rhinoceros dressed in lace)_. It’s just one of the many works by the artist which were inspired by the rhinoceros throughout his career.
