In this feature, we’ll be looking at some of the photographs by young American photographer Margaret Durow!
Durow just turned 24 last November 2 and is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Unlike most photographers who take up art-related courses in college, she actually majored in two science courses namely Biological Aspects of Conservation and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is currently employed as an intern at the Wisconsin State Herbarium.
It was in 2007 when Durow started with photography, and has participated in group exhibitions beginning in 2009. Her work has also been featured in magazines not only in the US but also in Canada and across Europe.
In an interview with _Positive Magazine_, Durow revealed that she shoots not only in analogue but also digital. “I love film because the photos look how something felt, I love digital because I can take a lot of photos,” she was quoted to have said. She owns a Canon T3 and a Canon AE-1.

This article is dedicated to the multifaceted American photographer George Krause and to his series depicting funeral monuments realized between 1962 and 1963. I was able to know about this series thanks to an important essay on photography written by former Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Director of Photography, John Szarkowski. For this tribute, I loaded my trusty Praktica camera with a roll of Ilford film and took a series of photos in the Monumental Cemetery in my city, Como. Take a look!
For Crow, his LC-Wide, which he fondly calls Elsie, is the perfect camera for his "Don't think, just shoot" attitude. He takes it wherever he goes and even uses the camera to teach his daughter about photography. In this interview, he shares more about his love for the LC-Wide plus some of the photographs taken by his young apprentice.

At the end of October last year, René Burri, a great master of photography of the last century, passed away. As a tribute to him, I would like to show you some photos that I took last month at EXPO 2015 in Milan, which was inspired by his series featuring the world's fairs held in Osaka, Okinawa, and Montreal. At first, Skyler only visited the Lomography website to take a look at sample photographs taken with different point-and-shoot cameras. Seeing the immense focus given by the community to film photography and experimentation, two things she absolutely loves, she immediately signed up and started her own LomoHome. In this interview, she talks about her go-to camera, the difference between digital and film photography and more.
This article is dedicated to Serge Moulinier, a largely unknown French photographer who won one of the most important prizes in France with a book on Greek architecture. Strangely, little information can be found on the Internet about this great photographer whose work had also been published in an important essay written by the famous John Szarkowski, former Director of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Lomography Singapore plays host to Parallel Planets’ first exhibition, "Façades: Neo-Noir Portraits Exhibition," featuring all-analog photography: a sea of black and white film portraits. This exhibition serves as a platform where both local and international photographers can express themselves by injecting individual perspectives into their craft. It also encourages viewers to look through the lens of the photographers, to see the subjects as who they are – flawed, alive, and breathing – and to also see beyond the façades we all choose to don.
