My LomoStory by Jblaze823

My Lomo story begins in Seattle and may never end! It all started with the curious, multi-lensed, plastic camera, the Supersampler ...

My introduction to Lomo was through a curious camera called the Supersampler. My friend had one and showed it to me by clicking the shutter button and shoving it into my face. Obviously I ducked, not knowing what he was doing. He explained that this camera was taking 4 consecutive shots of me and I only fully understood what he was talking about when he got the photos develop. I was amazed and knew that I wanted one, but had no idea where to look. 6 months later as I was surfing the web I found this camera and one of my favorite sites to this day – lomography.com.

The shots I have added to this post are some of my first ever Lomographs, I like to think that over time I have gotten much better at taking pictures. Since, buying my first Lomo camera I have expanded my collection greatly, and if you visit my lomohome you can easily see evidence of that.

I thank my friend (Chris) for introducing me to that curious camera that opened my mind to a whole new way of taking pictures.

The Magic Yet To Come: Part 4

Read on dear friend and I will weave a story for you. There may be more questions than answers raised by this peculiar tale. But if it’s clarity you seek, have no fear, things will become clear in time (they always do, don’t they?). So rub the Sandman’s dust from your sleepy eyes and take a journey with me. Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.

Fresh from the Lab: Silvia Precisa

Recently, I used my trusty Fuji Silvi. It may not be my all-time favorite camera, but I just wanted to use it because I kind of missed shooting with it. So I decided to look through my film stash to see what I could use with the Fuji Silvi. After much consideration, I ended up picking the old Agfa CT Precisa ISO 100 to get that classic blue tone. Silvia Precisa!

A Fresh Start with an Old and a New Camera

In December, two new cameras came into my possession: from the bag of Sinterklaas, the Dutch Santa Claus, came a classic Minolta SRT100 with two lenses and a flash, and I also picked up the Horizon Perfekt that I had won in the "Eliza was here" rumble. By now the first rolls have been shot and developed!

    Analog By Nature

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.

Hello, fellow lomographers! To be honest, ever since I started working last year, I haven't been able to write a single analogue lifestyle piece.
