We know good art when we see it. We’ve featured a lot of great art pieces on the magazine and we all go drooling over them like puppies but this one is just off the hook. It’s seeing Lomography in a different light and medium! Tawan Ithijarukul’s lovely cutout pieces featuring Lomography cameras and the rich history behind it are just too awesome to pass off.
Folding, cutting and printing her way to awesome Lomography loving, Tawan’s creative paper craft is just inspirational to say the least. Her quirky illustration of Lomography’s history, timeline and cameras is too good that it’s visually overwhelming and flattering. Just imagine the work and heart poured into this series of 35 amazing Lomocraft pieces for her bachelor’s degree thesis.
Tawan has been featured on Lomography Thailand’s community as a Lomo Amigo back in 2012 and showed her other artworks there but this Lomocraft just skyrocketed into the Analogue Love scale and dived right into our hearts. Her creative take on Lomography is wonderfully detailed. Makes us more proud to see that Lomography is not just a community for fellow analogue lovers but also serves as an inspiration for the arts.
