Making Memories: Meeting My Newborn Nephew for the First Time

I went to visit my newborn nephew with only a camera in my pocket. Check out the pictures that I took that day.

The moment our cousin-slash-aunt (it’s complicated, really) confirmed to us the news that she has given birth to a healthy baby boy, I immediately put on a hoodie, ready to leave for the hospital visit. On my way out of my house, I saw my LC-A on the table and decided to stuff it in my pocket.

Here are the pictures that I took that day:

We call him Andy. Here’s Andy with his mom.

I only went to the hospital for a short visit so I left after about thirty minutes. Here are some hospital pictures:

I decided to grab coffee before heading home.

And this is the view of the hospital from my car as I was leaving.

The pictures taken with my LC-A didn’t come out perfect, whereas my iPhone pictures were sharp and clear. But I still liked them. While I have my digital cameras to easily freeze and capture the moment, my analogue cameras are there to add unpredictable quirks to my photographs, making them so much different and unique. I find that my analogue cameras capture my sentiments more perfectly. It just has this different feel to it.
