The start of the school year in the Philippines also marks the start of the rainy season. Check out some pictures I've taken during one rainy school day!
As I have mentioned, the start of the school year in the Philippines also marks the start of the rainy season. That means students will have to live through going to school everyday despite the rains and the occasional typhoons. It’s not something that we enjoy, quite honestly. Being a student myself, I dread the idea of braving the storms, especially because college students like us are required to attend class even when there are typhoons. I would rather just stay at home and bum around (who wouldn’t?).
But every once in a while, I would appreciate the rain because it can be a thing of beauty. Here are a few pictures I took during one rainy day in the University of the Philippines.
The roads look like glass or mirrors when it rains, don’t you think?
It’s necessary to have an umbrella with you at all times, unless you want to get drenched.
Here’s me and my friend taking a selfie while walking under the rain.
The rain can be a good reason to take out those Plueys, or whatever crazy boots you have!
They’ll help you walk through those water puddles.
And boat shoes are a no-no!
When it starts to pour, don’t be afraid to take out those cameras to snap a picture of the gloomy weather. Rain or shine, you have to get your Lomo on!
