Agfa APX Silvertone (35mm, 400 iso) User-Review

6

This is probably my favorite black & white film, I like to call it grey & grey film and it is the perfect match for your LC-A. Its versatility in low and high light conditions, huge grey scale and sharpness makes it my elected B&W 35mm film.

I love B&W photography and I have tried lots of films but Agfa APX Silvertone (35mm, 400ISO) really delivers the best results. Its huge variety of white, black and grey provides excellent results to all your photos in almost all light conditions.

When shot with clear sky and bright sun it is extremely fast and sharp and when used in low light conditions it still delivers beautiful shades of grey and good shutter speeds. Besides its huge and beautiful grey scale, I am also amazed by the detail in each photo; most of the B&W films I’ve used always lose some detail on to the black areas but this film replaces those black areas for stunning silver, capturing every single detail.

It is a very versatile film and an excellent choice for indoors and heavily cloudy days and it is also a great film when you need speed in bright days, you can freeze a moving object without loosing the detail. You should always carry one with you, I know I will…
