Monkey and humans swap appearances, all for the sake of film!

The photo above was taken on January 20, 1971 in the set of the 1971 film, “Escape from the Planet of the Apes,” the third in a series of five under the original Arthur P. Jacobs-produced “Planet of the Apes” series. Apparently, Kelly here had to get a plastic human nose attached because “his nose is flatter than the actors in ape makeup.” FYI, the actors in the ape costumes were Kim Hunter and Roddy McDowell who played Zira and Cornelius, respectively.
