My possibly solo travel to Bangkok and Penang early next year was all I could think about all weekend; all the planning, booking, researching, and list-making got me thinking about nothing but flying off somewhere once more.
I remember how I used to dread plane rides, afraid of the fact that I’ll be flown thousands of feet off the ground. But after my first plane ride, I started looking forward to the next time I’ll board a plane and settle on a window seat, wide-eyed at the view up in the clouds.
Quite the ambitious traveler that I am, I made quite a long list of local and international destinations that I hope to visit this year, but sadly, I only managed to go to a handful. To say that I am itching to fly or get on the road and roam around once more would be an understatement.
With a birthday week in Bangkok and Penang planned in around three months’ time, I am so brimming with pre-travel jitters and excitement. Jitters because there’s a huge chance that I’ll be traveling on my own; and excitement because…well, I don’t think I need to explain that.
All I could think about right now is to board a plane again and fly off to somewhere nice. Oh, to fly once more.
